Background: Due to the use of non-absorbable tackers, LIVHR (laparoscopic incisional ventral hernia repair) has been
associated with a high incidence of both acute and chronic pain. Several absorbable tackers have been introduced and
used to alleviate this discomfort. Nevertheless, there are few research in the literature that compare two.
Aim: The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness, comfort, and complications of mesh fixation for
laparoscopic ventral hernia repair using absorbable and non-absorbable tackers.
