Abstract

Background: According to reports, ultrasound is more effective than traditional radiography at diagnosing patients who have
a clinical suspicion of fracture.
Aim: The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of conventional radiography and ultrasound in determining
whether or not fractures are present in clinically suspected participants.
Methods: One hundred participants of any age and gender who had a clinical suspicion of a fracture and were seen in the
Institute's emergency wing or orthopedic outpatient department were evaluated for this study. Conventional radiography was
used to evaluate the subjects, and then they underwent longitudinal and transverse ultrasonography using a real-time scanner
equipped with a high-frequency linear transducer. Results of ultrasonography and radiography were compared to assess
relative efficacy in diagnosing fractures.
