EVALUATING FUNCTIONAL SUCCESS OF LATERAL EXTRAARTICULAR TENODESIS WITH ANTERIOR CRUCIATE LIGAMENT RESTORATION USING THE MODIFIED LEMAIRE METHOD

Background: The typical arthroscopic ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) restoration using various procedures and grafts has
been associated with a failure rate of about 16%. To limit the need for revision ACL procedures, a modified Lemaire's method
has gained widespread acceptance, which includes tenodesis laterally and lowers anterolateral laxity.
Aim: The current study sought to assess the functional result of lateral extraarticular tenodesis with anterior cruciate ligament
restoration using a modified Lemaire method.
Methods: The current study evaluated 60 patients who received a modified Lemaire's operation with ACL restoration at the
Institute. The individuals were followed up after surgery for 6 months, a year, and two years. IKDC scores, Tegner-Lysholm
scores, and pivot shift scores were measured both before and after surgery.
