Abstract

Background: Postoperative pulmonary complications (PPCs) in newborns are a key measure of quality and are associated
with a considerable rise in infant death rates.
Aim: The current study intended to retrospectively identify risk variables for postoperative pulmonary problems in neonates
having non-cardiothoracic surgery.
Methods: The research evaluated newborns who received noncardiothoracic surgery at the Institute. Perioperative factors and
demographic information were collected for all individuals. The primary outcome measured in the trial was the incidence of
postoperative pulmonary problems. Patient-related variables influencing the incidence of postoperative pulmonary problems
were statistically evaluated.
