Abstract

Background: Over the last thirty years, obesity has become a worldwide epidemic. Additionally, the leading cause of death
worldwide, including in India, is coronary heart disease. However, there is a dearth of information in the literature currently
available on lipid profiles in obese and CHD patients.
Aim: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the lipid profile abnormalities associated with obesity and chronic heart
disease (CHD) in Indian participants.
