EFFICACY OF COLOR DOPPLER IN ASSESSING THE LIMITATIONS OF INTRAUTERINE FETAL GROWTH WITH THERAPEUTIC IMPLICATIONS
Keywords:
intrauterine growth restriction, , IUGR,, fetal growth,, therapeutic implicationsAbstract
Background: Existing literature data suggested that color Doppler is a more sensitive indicator in predicting perinatal death
in subjects with IUGR (intrauterine growth retardation). However, existing literature data is scarce concerning quantifying
the potential significance of color Doppler as a predictor of unfavorable perinatal outcome, alone or with other Doppler
indices.
Aim: The present study aimed to assess the use of color Doppler in assessing the limitation in intrauterine growth with
therapeutic implications.
Methods: The present study assessed 100 antenatal females who were diagnosed to have a fetus with intrauterine growth
restriction concerning the grey scale ultrasound findings and were advised for obstetrics color Doppler ultrasound.
