SYNTHESIS AND BIOLOGICAL EVALUATION OF INDOLE-3-CARBOXYLIC ACID DERIVATIVES OF AMINO ACIDS AND PEPTIDES

Abstract

A novel series of Indole-3carboxylic acid derivatives of amino acids and peptides were synthesized by solution phase technique. The synthesized compounds were characterized by FTIR, H NMR and mass spectral analysis and evaluated for their antibacterial and anthelmintic activities. The compounds exhibited significant antibacterial and anthelmintic activities as compared to standard drugs Clotrimazole and mebendazole, respectively.
