Background: Food allergies are a prevalent issue that affect people of all ages. However, the majority of research on its
prevalence and identification focuses on children. It is still unclear how common food allergies (FA) and atopic dermatitis
(AD) are among Indian people.
Aim: The purpose of this study was to determine the kind and frequency of food allergies in Indian children.
Methods: The current study evaluated 504 participants who visited the institution during the specified study period and
had a confirmed clinical diagnosis of atopic dermatitis. These participants' history and particular immunoglobulin E (IgE)
tests were used to construct the idea that they had a food allergy. To validate the food hypersensitivity, an OFC (oral food
challenge) was conducted based on the IgE test results.
