Abstract

Background: Menstrual hygiene practices can lead to a variety of health problems. Urinary tract infections and worries
about reproductive health are among these difficulties. The combined effects of these variables lead to a number of
disadvantages that are harmful to women's general health.
Aim: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the knowledge and practices of menstrual hygiene among Indian teenage
girls and to identify health issues associated with menstruation.
Methods: 220 girls who were at menarche and in the teenage age group were evaluated for the research. Participants'
answers to questionnaires and interview techniques were obtained, and the data were statistically examined.
