Background: Dengue fever is an important mosquito-borne viral infection in children and may progress to severe dengue
if warning signs are not recognized early.
Aim: To evaluate the clinical profile, laboratory parameters, complications, and outcome of dengue fever among
hospitalized pediatric patients.
Materials and Methods: A prospective observational study was conducted in 2019 among 120 children admitted with
serologically confirmed dengue fever. Demographic details, clinical features, warning signs, hematological parameters,
complications, duration of hospitalization, and outcome were analyzed using SPSS version 22.
