Background: Abnormal uterine bleeding is one of the most common gynecological complaints among women of
reproductive, perimenopausal, and postmenopausal age groups. Histopathological examination of endometrial tissue is
essential for identifying functional, premalignant, and malignant lesions.
Aim: To evaluate the histopathological spectrum of endometrial lesions in women presenting with abnormal uterine
bleeding.
Materials and Methods: A prospective observational study was conducted among 150 women presenting with abnormal
uterine bleeding. Endometrial samples obtained by biopsy, dilatation and curettage, or hysterectomy were processed and
examined histopathologically. Clinical presentation, age distribution, endometrial patterns, hyperplastic lesions,
postmenopausal bleeding findings, and association between age and histopathological diagnosis were analyzed using
SPSS version 25.
