Background: HbA1c readings and complete blood counts (CBCs) are employed as diagnostic tests to evaluate diabetes
and identify the emergence of chronic diabetic problems. The Hb glycation rate, the age of red blood cells (RBCs) in the
bloodstream, and/or hemoglobin are some of the variables that influence HbA1c levels.
Aim: In individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus, the current study sought to evaluate the differences in glycemic status
in different chronic kidney stages and their relationship to RBC, Hb, and HbA1c levels.
