RISK STRATIFICATION OF INDICATORS OF POTENTIAL SEVERE BACTERIAL INFECTION IN ORDER TO FORECAST NEWBORN DEATH

Abstract

Background: One of the leading causes of infant death is PSBI (Possible Serious Bacterial Infection). According to WHO
data, PSBI is separated into severe infection and clinical disease indicators. Infants can be categorized into risk groups for
proper prognosis and treatment by evaluating PSBI symptoms.
Aim: The current study's objective was to evaluate the risk stratification of indicators of a potential serious bacterial infection
in order to predict death in newborn infants between the ages of 0 and 59 days.
