CLINICO-LABORATORY PROFILE AND ACUTE ENCEPHALOPATHY SYNDROME IN CHILDREN

Abstract

Background: Children with acute encephalopathy syndrome (AES) typically require hospitalization to special care units and
intensive care units (ICUs). Data from the literature is limited, there is no specific treatment for AES, and the main line of
management is supportive.
Aim: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relationship between the outcomes of acute encephalopathy syndrome in
children with AES and their clinical and analytical characteristics.
