Background: This test was first suggested for the screening of fetal aneuploidies and is performed between 9-13 weeks.
Aim: The purpose of the current study was to evaluate the clinical effectiveness of the serum double marker test in the
first trimester as a means of predicting fetal growth limitation.
Methods: The study analysed the incidence of fetal growth restriction in females in the first trimester who had a double
marker test. The specificity and sensitivity of the test were assessed by comparing the relative incidence at respective
MoM cut-offs.
