Synthesis and Antibacterial Evaluation of Novel Benzimidazole Derivatives

Abstract

A number of novel 8-hydroxyquinoline-Benzimidazole hybrids (6a–l) were created for this investigation, produced using
standard synthetic techniques, and tested for antibacterial activity. The newly created compounds (6a –l) were examined for
antifungal activity against A. niger and C. albicans and for antibacterial activity against four strains: E. coli, S. aureus, P.
aeruginosa, and B. subtilis.
