Abstract

Background: Fungemia is one of the top three causes of neonatal sepsis in developing countries. Candida
species are one of the most common causes of blood stream infections among neonates and account for 9-
13% of such infections[1]
Aim: To study epidemiology, associated risk factors of neonatal candidiasis along with the outcome of the
patient and to analyse CRP and Complete blood counts as potential markers.
