Abstract

Background: Epigenetics—the study of heritable changes in gene expression without alterations in DNA sequence is an
emerging and rapidly evolving field in medicine. Understanding how environmental, lifestyle, dietary, and inheritance factors
influence gene expression is essential for future healthcare professionals.
Objectives: To assess the knowledge, awareness, and practices of Phase II MBBS students regarding epigenetic factors
influence on health and disease.
